Cooper Electrical Controls is a locally owned company specializing in industrial controls and automation. The company was established on January 1, 1997. CEC is located in the New Albany Industrial Park in North Mississippi. In November 1997 CEC erected its first building. This was a 5,000 square foot structure fully equipped to handle the demands of our manufacturing clients. Our business began to expand very rapidly. Because of our great success, we knew customer's needs were also growing. We wanted to meet the needs of our clients, so we then branched into the field of mechanical integrations. By purchasing equipment to do on-site specialized machining, we have become very competitive in the mechanical integrations field. There was much demand for our specialization in controls automation and mechanical integration, therefore Cooper Electrical Controls stepped up to meet this demand by constructing our second addition in 2001. In 2002 we embarked on new territory. This marked the beginning of our CNC saw operation. We purchased two saws to start this venture. Because of the rapid expansion in the saw business, we needed to build a third addition to accommodate the growth. This structure was completed in November of 2003. We now own seven CNC saws and provide production sawing 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Cooper Electrical Controls has continued to grow by adding additional control systems engineers, electricians and support staff to meet the demands of the influx of industry into the North Mississippi area.
