Coyote Cutters Inc. began machining with local disk drive and medical Colorado companies. Eventually, the shop became known to local engineers who migrated to aerospace companies in the region and took us along. Ball Aerospace, Toyon Research, and the US Army Missile Command were all early customers with us. NASA JSC invited Coyote in to help on an astronaut training device that had issues. When our job was done the device worked and we became NASA approved. Along the way they took us to other customers like Jacobs, Oceaneering, MIT, and JPL. We still make parts for US space suits and things like female astronaut urine funnels for the space program.

Since 1965 Craftsman Tool & Mold has created precision, Stack Mold Bases and Rotational Spin Stack Mold Bases, for the Multi-Shot injection mold industry across North and South America. Many of the mold base programs Craftsman Mold Bases spearheads, directly, target the In-Mold Labeling (IML) and In-Mold Assembly (IMA) areas of specialty. Craftsman Mold Base customers rely heavily on Craftsman’s ability to achieve stringent tolerances and alignment in the manufacturing of their mold base programs. Cavitation requirements often exceed 144 cavities and have tolerances often times in microns. All work is done in our Climate Controlled 40,000 square foot facility 30,000 lbs lifting capacity and machine capacities to 87 in width x 167 in length make us the market leader in Custom Mold Bases.

Craftsmen Industries opened for business in 1982 on Howard Street in St. Louis, MO. Our humble beginnings focused on trailer sales in the midwest. As our business evolved in the early years, our clients began to ask for more and more specialty modifications to their vehicles to enhance their marketing message. As a result, Craftsmen expanded services to include design, engineering, fabrication, printing and installation in-house which allowed for Craftsmen to accommodate our customers' requests, manage tight deadlines, deliver within budget and bring an unmatched level of satisfaction to customers. Eventually our client base and product offering outgrew our original office and we moved into a 79,000 sq. ft. facility in St. Charles, Missouri in 1994. It was at our West Clay location that our experiential and industrial business really gained a foothold and it was a short 6 years later that we realized a need for yet another home. The decision was made to purchase land and build a stand alone 127,000 sq ft facility not far from our original West Clay location. In January of 2000 we packed up and moved our family and friends to our current location just over the Missouri River from St. Louis County. It is here, at our Elm Point Industrial location, that we house our base of operations, fabrication facility, graphics production group and the 150 family members that call Craftsmen their home away from home.
