Elkins Machine & Tool provides decades of experience in the manufactured screw machine industry, combining an ability to design and create specialized industrial products with an attention to detail that knows no bounds. The heavily experienced Elkins’ staff is a skilled crew that can accommodate high volume projects but is flexible enough to excel in prototype development and short-run, fast-turnover orders. The facility’s location, in the suburban city of Romulus, MI, just outside of Detroit, is within seconds of Detroit Metropolitan Airport and is readily accessible to all major truck and rail lines. Elkins’ specializes in Stainless Steel work, as well as Steel, Brass, Aluminum, Plastic and other exotic materials. Its Quality Control Division is ISO 9001:2015 certified including two full-time QC staffers and NIST and A2LA accredited standards and tracking through Unipoint software. Its Shipping Division moves 100,000-parts weekly without error and includes a complete package tracking and stocking (with release requirement) capabilities. One of Elkins’ key qualities is its ability to make its own form tooling, which makes it difficult to beat when it comes to fast turnarounds. That tool making includes PEPS Wire EDM procedures that turn three- or four-week jobs into three- and four-day jobs. The company’s 11,000-square-foot Screw Machining Division is supplemented by a 8,000-square-foot Second Operations Division and a specialized CNC Division (partner Multi Machining Capabilities) located right next door. The 6,500-square-foot CNC building specializes in CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Engineering and Prototyping.

Operating from 2 manufacturing facilities, ELLWOOD City Forge Group is known worldwide as a leader in the open-die forging industry. ECFG manufactures concentric and eccentric contoured forgings and single cross-section products from carbon, alloy, stainless, aluminum, tool steels and nickel alloys in weights up to 70,000 pounds, lengths to 57 feet, and diameters to 135 inches. We specialize in a variety of custom forgings including shafts, blocks, eccentrics, billet, bars, hollow sleeves and disc forgings.

Elmi Machine & Tool Company started out as a small family business in the manufacturing industry. We started with a foot print of about 2,000 square feet, growing to more than double, at over 5,000 square feet today. DuPont, Phelps Dodge, Nuclear Research, Neptune Research, Microlab Fxr and many others. Capable of producing very detailed and accurate parts, using our arsenal of lathes, and milling machines. Our machinery have been updated and replaced to enhance our capabilities with the use of the latest machine tool technology.
