In 1934, Henry A. Morin realized the need for a steel fabrication shop in central New England. His progressive philosophy and demanding quality requirements became the foundation of Fitchburg Welding Company, Incorporated. Over 85 years and now into our fourth generation, we are keeping those principles he espoused alive. The purchase of Twin City Machining Incorporated, and subsequent 25,000 square foot addition to the existing plant, provides our customers with a state-of-the-art, one-stop shop for all their fabrication and machining requirements. Our subsequent 15,000 square foot addition has allowed us to significantly increase our turning and milling capabilities in the machining area. As of January 1, 2016, Fitchburg Welding and Twin City Machining were consolidated as Fitchburg Welding. This was done to streamline workflow between fabrication and machining aspects as well as to better represent what we do as a whole.

Five Star Associates, Inc. is a privately owned company incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania. In December of 2012, we purchased a 30,000 square foot facility. We had moved out of a 5,000 square foot building, so we have lots of space for expansion of our capabilities. We are small enough to react to your special needs in a way that larger manufacturing companies wouldn't consider, yet we can provide a level of service that exceeds what many others can provide. Our primary focus has been power conversion electronics, specifically military and industrial types. We have specific expertise in High Voltage power supplies in the 1kV to 30kV range. With the additional space afforded by our new building, we are expanding our precision aerospace machining and fabrication capabilities. We can machine to print or perform 3D solid modeling CAD services from your sketch or idea. The principal owner, Scott Phelan, has had 32 years of "In the trenches" design and manufacturing experience. His specific areas of expertise includes Military Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) power supplies, Industrial Back Up Lighting Uninterruptable Power Supplies, and High Voltage Power Supplies for CO2 Lasers. Our Mechanical engineer performs 3D CAD design using SolidEdge and NX. He comes from a strong background of custom machine design. We are located in Bangor, Pennsylvania which is on the eastern end of Pennsylvania, just south of the Pocono Mountains in the Slate Belt. We are just north of Easton, Pennsylvania. It is a short drive to Interstate 80, Rt 33 and Rt 22, providing easy access to the major metropolitan areas.

FLASHPOINT MACHINING specializes in short and long run precision prototype, RandD, detail and production machining. We offer a wide range of services to complete the manufacturing process for our customers. Our capabilities include conventional mills with digital readout, chucker and turret work, drilling, tapping and sanding. We are a full-service machine shop which manufactures commercial and industrial machined parts to customer specifications.
