The Formetal Company began marketing Cold Formed Light Gauge Steel Framing in 1959 representing two of the largest metal framing manufactures of the time. Serving the Southeastern United States Formetal Co and its founder Leonard Howard quickly became known as the company to source cold formed metal framing for both quality and pricing. In 1960 Formetal opened their first warehouse to provide faster deliveries and quick turnaround on specialty orders in the growing South East markets. Continued commercial construction growth allowed Formetal in 1981 to begin manufacturing their own cold formed metal framing products. Today, operating from our headquarters in Forest Park, GA we distribute a complete line of structural and dry wall metal framing and accessories. Our founder had a vision to provide superior metal framing products with exceptional service direct to the dry wall contractor and this is what Formetal continues to do today. In 2014 new management joined Formetal to transition the company in todays fast paced technology driven industry. Formetal meets or exceeds the standards of all the Cold Formed industry associations and participates in LEED certification as well as the “Georgia Peach Points” program. Forrest Machine Products was founded in 1979 in Mansfield, Ohio by John Forrest and Janet Kilgore. Over the years, the company progressed from cam driven screw machine technology to the latest in CNC lathe and turning centers. After 25 successful years, John and Janet decided to retire and in October 2004, the company was sold to a group of local businessmen. The company name was changed from Forrest Machine Products Corporation to Forrest Machine Products Co. Ltd.

Fort Machine Works been actively involved in equipment repairs from forestry, sawmill and mining industries since 1986. The majority of our business is repairs to and fabrication of new replacement parts for a variety of equipment. Hydraulic cylinders are a specialty. We can repair, modify or fabricate as the circumstances require and we stock an extensive inventory of seals to minimize delays in product delivery. Our hydraulic section is capable of: Horizontal Cylinder Honing Cylinder Re-Rods Cylinder Barrel Re-Tube Gland and Piston Repairs We offer in-shop and portable line boring and we have recently added a York Bore Welder to our equipment lineup to improve our production. Our welding shop is CWB Certified to offer complete welding services including: Steel Welding Cast Iron Aluminum Build-up and Hard Facing

Fostet currently operates within a 14,000 square foot facility located in the centre of Ontario’s manufacturing and technology hub. Our location has 4 overhead cranes that allow our team to move up to 2 tons of material throughout the various areas of our facility. We have loading dock capabilities and room for expansion.
