Hunter Machine was founded in 1988 with the sole purpose of providing customers with the highest quality CNC machined parts at a competitive price. Over the past 34 years our business has grown and evolved to become what we are today. In 1994 the business was relocated to our current location at 6551 Anthony Drive in Victor, New York. We are conveniently located 3 miles from Exit 44 of the New York State Thruway just east of Rochester, New York. By 1997, with the substantial growth the company began to face, Hunter Machine Inc. made the decision to expand the facility to over 12,000 square feet, to include a fully integrated internal network. This expansion would be necessary to maintain a competitive edge. From the new network, Hunter Machine Inc. has the ability to send created programs from the latest design software directly to the machining centers. It also allowed the various company departments, processing, shipping, and programming to be networked as well. All through the 2000’s, Hunter Machine has continually added machine capacity. In 2005, the quality system was documented and enabled Hunter Machine to become ISO 9001: 2000 compliant. In 2012 Hunter Machine made a tremendous upgrade to capacity by adding a state-of-the-art FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System), which will be described further on the automation page. This allows the company to easily transition from job to job more efficiently. With this system, Hunter Machine can produce parts on an “On Demand Basis” with its own internal machine MRP system. These allow the inventory recovery time to be greatly reduced. One-touch setup can be achieved by having jobs tooled up and ready to run, on an “as needed” basis, with quick response times to recover on low inventory parts. In the same year, Hunter Machine Inc. also added a complete Swiss Turn-Department including 5-Axis Swiss capability. In 2014, Hunter Machine Inc. had grown to a point where an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) management system became necessary. After adopting this program, the result has been an increase in efficiency and ease in meeting the demands of the “As Needed” industry. In 2015, Hunter Machine Inc built a second building next to our facility to expand our production area to 30,000 square ft.In 2016, a second, larger, FMS system with a 3 tier PALLETECH system was installed in the new building. The continual technological upgrades show the company’s commitment to staying up to date to meet our customers’ needs in the most cost-efficient, cost-effective, and timeliest fashion possible. Hunter Machine Inc. is an ever-growing company making constant improvements. Our 5-year plan is to continue upgrading our equipment to develop a state-of-the-art, fully automated, manufacturing facility utilizing the best equipment available.
