However, he quickly realized the importance of having a plan B and began working for a reputable machine shop in Santa Barbara County, CA. After a decade learning everything he could about the manufacturing industry, Dan founded the company in January of 1997. His love for his job has only grown over the 36 plus years he has spent in the business, and he continues to lead with the same passion and drive that started it all. Recently, we received our first patent for our Last Chance Sifter™, which is used on abrasive waterjet machines. This pneumatic abrasive sifter with interchangeable screens is used when filling the bulk abrasive hopper with garnet abrasive media used in the waterjet cutting process. Keeping contaminants and particles no larger than .020” from entering the abrasive hopper is vital to eliminate waterjet nozzle clogs, mixing tube clogs and abrasive feed tube clogs. Developed out of necessity for our Omax waterjet, the device is now in use across the country and available for purchase on our STORE.
