Today, Laurel Machine & Foundry Co. operates as a general contract shop, offering a full range of services including: Full Line Metal Service Center Structural, sheet, and plate fabrication in carbon, stainless steels, and aluminum, including tubing, pipe, mitered fittings, and forged steel flanges. Our fabricated products also include pressure vessels and storage tanks, as well as fabricated steel assemblies. Manufacturing and repair of custom machinery and machine parts from carbon and stainless steel, brass, and aluminum, for new and used equipment. Casting work in gray iron, alloy gray iron, ductile iron, both rough and machined. Casting can be poured in sizes from 25 pounds to 7,000 pounds. Mill supplies, including over 10,000 industrial and oil field mill supply items.

Lawndale Forge, industrial blacksmiths and manufacturer of carbon and stainless shackles, was started at its present location in 1928 by Ralph Russell Sr., an immigrant from Gloucestershire, England whose family had been blacksmithing for many generations. Prior to Lawndale Forge there had been a blacksmith shop on this site since before the Chicago Fire. The grandsons and great grandsons of Ralph Russell Sr. are carrying on the old world craftsmanship that imparts optimum strength and grain flow to our forgings.

LCI is a full service Sign & Point-of-Purchase Display House located in Milwaukee, WI. Since 1992, we have served the industry to design and manufacture signs and displays with punch and impact. We also offer laser cutting and laser engraving services with secondary operations such as UV flatbed printing and plastics fabrication. LCT Products is a one-stop shop. We can help you with your part design, complete the tooling design, and build the tool without needing to use outside sources. LCT Products has a full line of CNC and manual equipment to handle any tooling need you may have. We have high speed CNC mills to handle difficult 3d surfaces. We have dedicated graphite machines, and full CNC EDMs capable of burning threads or undercuts. Our CNC lathe is a full 4 axis machine allowing us to do simultaneous ID and OD turning. We do our design work on SolidWorks, and our programing is done using Mastercam. All of our software is kept up to date to allow for trouble fee file transfers from customer to shop, and back to the customer again.

Well, a few decades ago, if you’re Stan Unruh, you move to the big city and start making fiberglass molds! Getting his start for a local pattern shop, Stan did all the work in his basement. Soon the operation was moved to the garage for more room and ventilation. There were a grand total of two on the payroll – including Stan. Slowly but surely the business grew, and in 1998 Stan moved into what was roughly “a large shed.” By 2003 another move was necessary, as was the hiring of now-10-year-veteran Bill Marshall. The employee count had reached four. Today, Leading Edge Aerospace has five buildings, a 50’ oven, a 21’ autoclave, a brand new 50’ Anderson CNC, two FARO® 3D laser trackers and four FARO® arms, and the most forward-thinking Research & Development team you’ll find in aerospace composite tooling. Leatherwood Manufacturing, Inc. (LMI) was founded in 1986 by Mike and Linda Leatherwood. Our sons, Gil, Scott, and Randy joined the firm in the first year of operation. We are a family-oriented company. LMI is a Veteran owned, high-quality custom manufacturer, serving the Aerospace, Military, Medical, Transportation, Industrial, and Commercial industries. LMI continues to reinvest capital to maintain state of the art equipment in our fabrication, machining and assembly shops. LMI obtained our ISO 9000 certification in March of 1994. LMI is currently certified in ISO 9001:2015, and AS9100 Rev D, with certification through NSF-ISR. LMI began business in a 5000 s/f facility in 1986, and expanded to 20,000 sq. ft. by 1993. As the business grew, we relocated to a 40,000 s/f facility in 1994. In 1998, we added 15,000s/f expanding our fabrication facility. LMI expanded again in January of 2009, adding an additional 25,000 s/f of manufacturing space which now totals 80,000 sq. ft.
