Mike Dyell established Mike Dyell Machine Shop in 1969, with his wife Edith by his side. Soon after, in 1970, Tom Bradley joined the Dyells, bringing his exceptional skill and ingenuity. The year 1978 was a pinnacle year as Tom Bradley became partner, and the business moved to their permanent location in Rialto. Ten years later, the Hesperia location opened for business. We sadly lost our founder, Mike Dyell, in 1997, and in 2014 Tom Bradley has retired. However, their legacy continues and together throughout the years, we at Dyell continue to strive to be an industry leader. No job is too big or too small. We at Dyell Machine are proud of our reputation in putting our customer's needs first. We realize our customer's time is valuable and we strive to keep your needs met and downtime to a minimum. Our Founder & President, Mike Murphy graduated from the University of South Florida in 1983, after which he began working for Texas Instruments handling both Engineering and Training in Houston, TX. Mike then moved to Western Atlas International as their Global Trainer for Downhole Tool manufacturing, test, and repair where he solidified his passion and excellence for training. Pro Staff recruited Mike in 1991 as their Global Trainer/Technical Director. For the next 15 years Mike traveled the world developing specialized training curriculums and facilities to meet the clients’ high-tech manufacturing needs. During this time Mike developed relationships with many people in Oil & Gas, Telecom, Aerospace/Military, as well as multiple other industries where he established an impressionable reputation for excellence. In 2006 Mike’s superior at Pro Staff literally told him, “You’re the best in the world at this – you should go start your own company.” Mike took action, and soon MIL SPEC WORKS was established in Houston, TX. Since its inception, MIL SPEC has grown exponentially over the years. They have established a solid footprint and reputation as a high quality and first in class customer service PCBA & Electromechanical Assembly Contract Manufacturer. In his free time, Mike enjoys sports, boating, fishing, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Steve, who has been in business for over 25 years, started his career as a Tool and Die Apprentice. With his sharp intuitiveness and excellent foresight, Steve became even more fascinated with modern machining technology and the capabilities it brought to the manufacturing environment. Having realized the extensive possibilities of EDM machining, he decided to follow his dream of starting his own business. Because MILCO's goal is to provide its customers with the fastest service and best possible prices, it has grown to become one of the leaders in the EDM machining industry. Although Steve Miller has gained great success thus far, he is still not one to rest. Having become very knowledgeable about the latest technology in waterjet cutting, he recognized the possibilities of combining all of his EDM machines along with the waterjet in order to provide a full service machine shop. The Waterjet machine is able to do less critical portions of the job much faster, cheaper and easier, leaving the more critical cuts to the EDM machines. In the event that conventional machining is required, MILCO also has in-house capabilities. According to Steve, the Waterjet is so important for successful and affordable machining that he maintains "In the near future, if you have a band saw, you will soon be replacing it with a Waterjet machine". Waterjet cutting has been used primarily by Decorative Designers and Advertising Industries, however more and more larger aerospace companies now have a need for that service.
