Our company has explored the physical and geographical frontiers of its markets. In the late 1970s, this pioneering approach led to the invention of a new, patented furnace technology that revolutionized our product range and transformed the company (until then, graphite was mainly processed from natural mineral resources or the re-crushing of spent electrodes). We introduced unique large scale continuous Electro-Thermal Treatment/Purification Technology that purifies and/or treats carbonaceous materials, which expanded the boundaries of natural and synthetic graphite purification, as well as the process of synthesizing graphite or other carbon-based materials. We have also explored new avenues in continuous graphitization and developed a number of innovative processes.

Founded in 1983 by Robert "Bob" Weilert out of his garage, Superior Grinding is now owned by Rob Weilert and he along with his sons, daughter and dedicated technicians strive for excellence in quality and production. In the past five years we have more than doubled our production, as well as added an additional 4,000 square foot expansion to our building to expand our services offered. Our technicians have a combined experience of over 75 years! Most of our technicians have been with us for at least 10 years and we consider them to be some of the best in the field of machining and grinding. We offer CNC milling, CNC lathe capabilities and have an engine lathe, manual mills, horizontal mills, drill presses, anddvanced sharpening equipment to meet the needs of our customers. Since its establishment in 1957, Superior Industrial Coating has lived by the motto: “COMMITTED TO EXCELLENT QUALITY AND SERVICE.” Our dedication to understanding and meeting the needs of our customers has allowed us to climb the ladder to become a leading company in the coating and finishing industry. We are more than just a coating and finishing company. Our specialty is to shape the total manufacturing supply chain so that little to no other end product needs services. When additional services are desired, our capabilities include design services, including choosing correct materials, treatment of various substrates including steel, aluminum, magnesium, zinc, and various plastics, surface finishing, and sub assembly, which enables us to provide a turnkey product to our customers.

We provide complete machine shop and welding services to the Chapleau, Ontario area. We are a Parker hydraulic hose and fitting dealer with an extensive inventory of 2,4,and 6 wire hydraulic hose and adapters. We also stock hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder seals for most common applications. Living in a remote region we have become very adept at getting our customers up and running, we realise that time is money and being down for days is often not an option. Superior Machine was founded by Kevin Van Loon in 1994. Kevin started with one CNC Lathe and one employee in a 7,000 square foot building. By 1997 Kevin had grown his company to 6 CNC Lathes and 6 CNC Machine Centers with 18 employees. As the business grew, Kevin moved the company to an 84,000 square foot facility right here in Albia, Iowa. Superior Machine continued to grow over the years becoming diversified in several industries. In January 2018 Kevin sold the company to his son Ben Van Loon. Ben took off with the opportunity, and has continued to add business and machines to the operations. With the continued growth, Superior Machine now has 144,000 square foot of space under one roof, and over 80 employees.

Since 1952, the Hershberger family has maintained Superior Tool & Die Company, Inc.'s reputation as a quality supplier of: special equipment CNC machining fixtures dies As a manufacturer of jigs, fixtures, gages, dies and special machinery and equipment, the company's primary goal is to conform to or exceed the requirements of its customers. Superior's 32,000 square foot operation has 28,000 square feet of manufacturing area featuring an inside clearance height of 26 ft. Superior is also dedicated to Continuous Quality Improvement. The company's skilled employees receive ongoing training to ensure the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction. Superior Tool Service began in 1987 in Wichita, KS. Today, Superior Tool Service serves more than 400 machine shops worldwide utilizing state-of-the-art ANCA CNC tool grinding machines to manufacture precision quality cutting tools faster. With almost 40 employees, Superior Tool Service brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to serve your industrial cutting and supply need by providing custom cutting tool solutions, quality name brands and even industrial supply. Our experienced staff can handle your tool grinding needs, whether you need them made per your print, modified or just resharpened. We also stock our own line of carbide end mills and carbide tools for composite. Superior Tool Service is owned by Clint & Christie Whitney. Clint began grinding tools in 1998 for STS and now serves as its President. Christie Whitney was hired in 2007 and with her background in finance and earning her degree in Accounting, she now serves as General Office and Accounting Manager. In 2017, Superior Tool Service moved to their current 33,000 sq. foot location.
