Founded in 1936 in York, Pennsylvania... The Flinchbaugh Company established a reputation for providing quality machined parts and shop services to the United States military and many leading private sector manufacturers. Some of those manufacturers include BAE Systems, IVRI Inc., Johnson Controls Inc., Kaydon Ring & Seal Inc, Quigley Motor Company Inc., Schneider Electric Inc, Voith Turbo and Volvo/Mack Truck. In 2005, Flinchbaugh expanded following acquisition by only its third generation of ownership. And at the end of 2006, The Flinchbaugh Company made a strategic purchase of G. Kurtz Industries – another high-quality machining company and job shop in York County, PA. This resulted in the new, combined company based in Manchester, PA.

ABOUT US Since 1986, The Gateway Company has been one of the foremost fabricators of industrial structural steel in St. Louis. Our list of projects range from access and work platforms to large pipe bridges to entire industrial buildings. Materials used include carbon, alloy and stainless steel as well as aluminum with more challenging fabrication projects our area of expertise. Our clients include most of the major industrial firms and general contractors in the St. Louis area. Our two abrasive blasting and coating shops are “value added” complements to our fabrication service. We properly prepare the surface and can apply any high performance protective coating including 100% solids, plural component materials. Surface preparation includes the use of steel abrasive, ceramic media and plastic media. Gateway’s shotblasting and warehousing operation, in Joliet, Illinois, is an integral part of our steel related service. It is within easy access to all interstate highways in the Midwest. Utilizing three Horizontal Blast Machines, we handle most service centers that require shot blasting of steel plates, burned parts, beams, angles, and channels. Gateway Company Utah is a customer-oriented, industrial painting service organization. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Gateway provides industrial painting services to both the private and public sectors throughout the Mountain and Western state region. Gateway’s management has over 60 years of experience in all phases of abrasive blasting and the application of paint, special coatings and linings. Gateway's experience includes bridges, refineries, petrochemical plants, mining facilities, power plants, elevated storage tanks, ground storage tanks, waste and water facilities Adding to our capabilities is a staff that includes a NACE certified coating inspector and a full time safety professional. Gateway also holds both the QP1, Complex Structures, and QP2, Hazardous Paint Removal, certifications from SSPC.
