Turner Bellows, Inc. is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise as well as a HubZone certified business, which was established in 1935 and has been under current ownership since 1971. Our executive offices and 120,000 square feet of manufacturing space are located in the city of Rochester, New York, within the city’s Economic Development Zone. Turner Bellows was established as a manufacturer of components for the photographic and automotive equipment industry. Our customers have included Kodak, Xerox, Polaroid and General Motors. Since then, we have diversified into many other areas. We are now focused as a single source manufacturing company specializing in non-metallic die cutting, packaging, as well as assembly and fabrication of mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Our customers include major international corporations in the automotive, government, food handling, and construction industries. Turner Bellows, Inc., a leading provider of assembly, fabrication, die cutting and bellows, has announced they have received recognition from the Rochester Business Alliance and KPMG LLP, ranking them #1 in the Rochester Top 100 in 2008. Blending their backgrounds from the engineering and machining disciplines, they soon built a reputation for innovation and dependability among their small but happy customer base. Though the partners left after a short time, Mark and Kris worked hard to maintain the level of excellence and customer satisfaction that has always been our goal. Scott Maurer joined the team in 1984 as the lead man in the milling department. To this day, he is a valued, dedicated employee with a wealth of experience as a machinist in prototyping and milling. For twenty years, these three were the driving force behind our success and continued growth in the Minnesota manufacturing community. In early 2007, Turning underwent its biggest change to date. Mark was ready to retire from the day-to-day obligations of running the business, and Kris stepped up to the plate and took the helm as company President. With Scott remaining in his position as milling department head , this sea change left us with an even greater commitment to teamwork and customer service.

We specialize in providing our customers with axis CNC machining, high-speed machining, 4th axis CNC machining, grinding, sawing, prototyping, reverse engineering, CAD/CAM, and engineering collaboration. TLS is known for providing quality machined parts, done right the first time. Our Quality Control and Inspection Department is a huge factor in our overall consistency and accuracy with our parts. We are capable of measuring tolerances to +/-.00005 using our full range of inspection equipment.

Batesville is the home to NASCAR champion Mark Martin and is situated on the scenic White River. We recently moved into a new 62,000 square foot climate controlled manufacturing facility, and we have a workforce of over 35 knowledgeable employees – all experienced in the metalworking and fabrication industry. At TWH, we understand that the demand for work piece quality continues to grow, and these demands are almost always coupled with the call for shorter manufacturing lead times. We specialize in precision machining: both milling and turning; precision sheet metal fabrication and plastic injection molding… so, we can mill, turn, punch and bend any material you put in front of us. We also design, build, test and run plastic injection molds. On top of all this, we also offer several different types of surface treatments. We can anodize aluminum in a wide variety of colors including black, gold, red, blue, green and clear. Anodizing is a surface treatment which serves multiple purposes. It’s used to protect the aluminum from the elements. It can be used in a case where the aluminum surface needs to be non-conductive. And some use it simply for cosmetic reasons. Another treatment for aluminum we offer is chemical conversion coating (iridite, chem film, chromate conversion, alodine), which is often used before painting for better paint adhesion. Conversion coating also offers a surface protection but is electrically conductive, so it is a good alternative to anodizing when the surface of the metal needs to retain its conductive properties. If it is powder coating you need, then we have you covered there as well. We powder coat in a wide variety of colors and textures on many different materials. TWH is on the cutting edge of technology! We utilize state of the art laser engraving equipment, so we can engrave anything on your parts from part ID markings to your company logo. For rapid prototyping, we offer 3-d printing services using 3D polyJet technology. With rapid prototyping, we can go from just a solid model design on a computer to a physical part in no time.
