Founded in 1946 by Fritz C. Maurer, Maurer Artcraft; later renamed Maurer Metalcraft, began as a decorative metal spinning company. Its unique craftsmanship and close proximity to Sikorsky Helicopters headquarters led to a relationship in the development of prototype parts for new production helicopters and over the years has grown into a robust sheet metal fabrication operation. Edward A. Pohl, Sr., founded Milford Fabrication Co in 1947, working out of a small garage at his home in Milford CT. In 1950 Milford Fabricating grew and relocated to Erna Ave where a new 3,000 Sq. ft factory was constructed. Over the years 3,000 grew to 30,000 Sq. Ft. Milford Fabricating Co. provides precision quality custom sheet metal fabricating services, Nadcap Welding and Heat Treating to local customers such as Sikorsky Aircraft, Boeing, Hamilton Sundstrand/Collins Aerospace, and Pratt & Whitney. Valley Tool and Manufacturing LLC was founded as a traditional tool and die business in 1984. It began by offering machining services in a variety of industries for the manufacturing of machine tools.

Peach farmer Fred Brenda took his career and his family in a new direction when he sold the farm following a series of bad crops in the late 1960s and opened Valley Tool Manufacturing Company, a tool sharpening business for area machine shops. His new venture thrived, with customers like U.S. Steel and Lockheed Martin seeking his services, and it quickly evolved into a full-fledged fabrication shop.

The company was established in 1976 as a one-man welding shop in Wilmington, MA. A natural evolution in growing the business found us expanding our product offerings via metal fabricating, laser-cutting and value-added services. An expansion of our facilities into our present company-owned location in southern NH enables us to offer a wide array of capabilities at competitive prices We have grown the business over time by consistently offering our clients VALUE.
