Batten Tool & Machine, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Dan Batten. Dan worked his business at night and on weekends after working his regular job as a plastic injection mold maker for a local tool and die shop in Minneapolis. Batten Tool had started to generate some business just by word of mouth and being competitive in pricing. Originally the plan was to build tooling and fixtures only. It did not take long for Dan to find out that there were a lot of opportunities for general CNC machining of small and medium size runs of precision parts. In January 1995 Batten Tool & Machine, Inc. became his full time job. Since then has grown to 12 full time employee’s with combined 75 years experience among them. Batten Tool specializes in machining tough to machine materials such as Nitronic 60, 316, 304, 17-4PH stainless steels, titanium, tool steels, as well as other metals such as aluminum, brass and some plastics.

2013 The PROBAT group purchases the Ladco group of companies: MacIntyre, Petzholdt, Heidenauer and Beetz, four experienced and well known manufacturers of a variety of high quality machinery and equipment for the global cocoa and chocolate industry. Joining these leaders with Probat and Bauermeister they formed the New entity Hamburg Dresdener Maschinenfabriken to become a single source for equipment that is needed along the cocoa and chocolate related process chain. 1985 Bauermeister becomes a member of the PROBAT group. The company was relocated from Hamburg-Altona to the current head office in Norderstedt. 1945 After the reconstruction of the buildings destroyed during World War II the product range and service had been consequently and successfully expanded. Turbo and sugar mills, roll crushers and flakers conquered the international market. New scientific methods for the cocoa and chocolate industry were developed. 1900 The application for the universal patent for a round classifier ushers in the industrial manufacture. Focussing on machinery and equipment for the processing of cocoa beans and for the production of cocoa powder and chocolate 1882 Emil Ludwig Hermann Bauermeister founds the company in Hamburg as a supplier of flour mills.

Baugh Machine is a 3000 square foot contract job shop specializing in small to medium sized part manufacturing and in any quantity size. We manufacture proto-type, production and tooling. We also have the expertise to offer tool designing and consulting for manufacturing process engineering. We have been in the job shop machining business since 1972. We have complete understanding of geometric tolerancing and military standards.
