Founded in 2004 as a specialty job shop designed to meet high surface finish requirements that are essential for components used in the semiconductor industry, we have since grown our business and expanded our manufacturing capabilities to meet customer demands in a variety of fields. As a result we’ve been able to expand our operation into a 6500 sq/ft facility, which we have equipped with top of the line machinery and equipment. Betar, Inc. is a general machining company, located in a state of the art facility in Somerset, NJ. Betar, Inc. specializes in deep hole drilling (also known as gundrilling), honing, turning, milling, surface grinding, blade sharpening, machine building and repair. We work with almost all metals and most other materials. The jobs handled by Betar are uniquely created for each customer. Each piece is machined to extremely tight tolerances, and customers know Betar’s accuracy is dependably precise.

At Better Way Grinding, we specialize in double disc grinding. We have been in business under the same ownership since 1963 and have evolved from a small one-man shop to an organization that employs a team of skilled operators working on a wide range of equipment.

Beyers Industrial Machining, Inc. is a medium-sized privately-owned business specializing in computer numerically controlled (CNC) machined parts for local and nation-wide manufacturers. The business was started in 1973 by Wayne Beyers and is currently owned and operated by his son Dale. The facility is located in Walworth, WI. It is operated by 9 employees and consists of approximately 1,000 square feet of office space and 4,000 square feet of production area containing a total of 15 CNC lathes and mills.

The owner and CEO, Denny Nguyen, has more than 30 years of experience in this industry. His immeasurable expertise in programming and operations reflects in the products we deliver. Over the years, he has had the pleasure of working with major government companies such as NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Arcata, and ULA. Denny was also presented with an award in 2016 from NASA for his exceptional efforts in helping with the production of the Exploration Mission-1 Command Module Pressure Vessel. Denny is currently guiding and molding his two children towards their own success in this line of work.

Founded in 1942 by Dewey Develian, and known at the time as "Superior Chrome Plating Company," the hard chrome plating company was located in the industrial areas of Compton, California. The ownership changed in 1985, and then in 1993, at which time it became "Barken's Hard Chrome" The hard chrome plating company was named after its new owner, Louis Barken. Louis Barken was one of the very first pioneers in hard chrome plating. He worked as one of the platers at Superior Plating in the 1940s. In the late 1960s, he opened his own plating company in Bell, California. He retired in 1984, not knowing that eight years later, he would return to the plating business. He was back in what he enjoyed doing the most. At the time of the takeover in 1993, Barken's Hard Chrome only had two hard chrome plating tanks along with cadmium plating capabilities. Barken's Hard Chrome was run under Louis Barken's management along with his two sons and their experienced crew. Everything was going well until Louis Barken became ill and passed away in 1997. At this time, following his father's wishes, Gary Barken took over the business. Gary has updated Barken's Hard Chrome by installing ventilation and scrubbing systems to meet environmental requirements by the EPA. Gary has upgraded every aspect of his father's company, and has continued the family legacy, specializing in small and large O.D. and I.D. work. Today, Barken's capabilities have increased to seven hard chrome tanks, three cadmium tanks, phosphate, passivation, most baking operations and grinding.

We're a precision machine shop and fabrication facility with a unique customer focus. Our vast array of services includes custom machine design, welding, gear cutting and metal fabrication performed on state-of-the-art equipment. Our experienced team also does production milling and turning as well as fixture and gauge design. Capabilities include machining and fabrication with metal, plastic and phenolic materials. We also repair a wide variety of parts and machines.

BICO Machine and Tool was founded by Harold Keller at his home in Philipsburg, PA in the 1970's. Since then BICO has built a reputation for quality custom-machined components and premium customer service as it grew in both size and capability. In March of 2010, BICO transitioned to new ownership and continued to progress in today's manufacturing market. In early 2011 it became evident that BICO would require a new, larger facility where all aspects of production could exist under one roof. That search resulted in our move in February of 2012 to a new facility in Marianna, PA in southern Washington County. This location is within 5 miles of Interstate 79 and places us within 35 miles of Pittsburgh, Morgantown, Wheeling and Uniontown. The focus on quality parts and commitment to premium customer service remains. We have added a commitment to process control and quality certification from our extensive experience in the implantable medical device industry.
