ABOUT US Coastal Machine & Mechanical has operated in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast area since 2010 by providing a “Quality” and “Diverse” field of skilled crafts servicing the Oil/Gas, Petro-Chemical , Power Generation and Marine/Offshore Industries. We provide general and specialized mechanical shop and field services with the support of a full complement of machine shop capabilities and a fabrication shop with a current “R” – ASME code stamp. Our mechanical services cover shop and field repairs of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps, compressors, rotors, exchangers, blowers, reactors and features 10 ton crane capacity. The mechanical shop has a teardown area separate from our clean room assembly and an indoor climate controlled storage facility to keep your equipment out of the elements. Our machine shop has multiple lathes with capabilities up to 42” x 180”, vertical and horizontal mills. Our Water Jet has a 6’ x 10’ by 6” thick capacity. We balance rotors and impellers up to 5000 lbs. We provide a full staff for field machining and millwrights. Our capabilities include: Climate controlled machine shop with capabilities up to 42” x 180” Electric motor removal, repair and reinstallation Multi stage pump removal, repair and reinstallation Centrifugal and split case pump removal, repair and reinstallation Gearbox removal, repair and reinstallation Onsite motor and pump alignment Onsite pickup and delivery From carbon steel tanks to alloy vessels, our welding procedures cover all materials from carbon steel to titanium. Pipe, structural steel, vessels and tanks make up the bulk of our fabrication shop activities. Maintenance services are provided routinely to Coastal M & M clients and include Preventative Maintenance Programs. Customized programs for individual locations are a common service provided for Coastal M & M clients. We are a Minneapolis, Minnesota based precision manufacturing machine shop. We are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certified, utilizing modern CNC Machinery to produce high tolerance, Swiss machined parts for the medical, aerospace, electrical, pressurized gas, defense, food and drug, and furniture industries. A Swiss machine, often referred to as a Swiss-type lathe or Swiss-style lathe, is a type of metalworking machine used for the precision machining of small, complex parts. At Colburn Manufacturing Company, we have been providing superior quality machining since 1999. Since 1977, Coldwater Sintered Metal Products has been the premier source for powdered metal and machined parts. Our 58,000 sq. ft. production facility houses a wide variety of equipment to produce powdered metal parts including hydraulic and mechanical briquettes, sizing presses (including capability to 750 tons), atmospheric generators/furnaces for the sintering process, steam treatment equipment, grinders/tumblers for superior surface finish, and a full spectrum of CNC machining equipment to add the complex features your powdered metal parts may require. Modern furnaces and atmospheric generators ensure proper conditions for manufacturing the highest quality in powdered metal parts. Our on-site metallurgical staff combines their knowledge along with engineering expertise to produce the most cost effective part that meets your design specific needs. Our machining department is extremely proficient at performing CNC turning, milling, drilling, tapping and grinding operations. Coleman Tool & Manufacturing Corp. was founded in 1971 by Douglas Coleman. He started his company in his garage. While working 3rd shift at American Motors Corporation (AMC) as a Tool and Die maker, Doug would work in his garage, on his own work, during the day. Being a Tool & Die maker by trade – this was to be the direction he intended for his company. Then a neighbor, who worked for BFI (a waste removal company), came looking for help on a replacement part that they could not get delivered fast enough. This was the start of Coleman Tool & Mfg. Corp. Doug made note of the opportunity and he worked it from every angle, keeping in mind that the quality of the products he produced was going to be what kept his company growing. In 1976 he bought a 16,000 sq. ft. facility in Bristol, WI. Coleman Tool was a machine shop that, among other things, prominently produced refuse truck parts. As he grew his parts offering, Doug soon realized that he needed to start to fabricate and weld as well, to keep up with demand. This once again propelled Coleman Tool forward into another expansion and Doug purchased another 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Kenosha, WI. in 1987. As the business continued to grow, he wanted to make more of an effort to do more contract manufacturing, and that is just what he did. While still keeping the customers best interests in mind, he purchased the best equipment for the jobs he got that was possible. Instilling into each employee the importance of quality and customer service. He created a team of individuals that was second to none. These men and women truly care about the products they produce for each of Coleman Tool & Mfg. Corp. customers. Both aspects of Coleman Tool & Mfg. Corp. have continued to grow, and in 2007 Doug decided to combine both facilities into one 70,000 sq. ft. facility in Union Grove, WI. To keep up with the growing demands of our customers, Coleman Tool once again need to expand. In January of 2019 we added an additional 40,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space to our current building in Union Grove, WI.
